Following the guidance of Little League International, based on the most recent guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Appleton Little League COVID-19 Task Force has suspended all A.L.L. activities until May 11. This date is subject to further guidance from Little League International, the CDC, and local, state, and federal authorities.
The Appleton Little League Board of Directors met in a Special Meeting, via web/phone conference, on Sunday, March 15 at 7:00 PM. The board created a COVID-19 Task Force to react quickly to changing circumstances and coordinate planning for the resumption of league activities as quickly as possible after the suspension is complete. This task force will meet weekly with more frequent communication as needed to continue to respond to this ever-changing situation.
At this time, we plan for a full season at the Rookie and Tee Ball levels of both softball and baseball. At the Major and Minor levels, the length of the A.L.L. season will be impacted by the date and time of the Little League International Tournaments, which impacts the dates of the District 5 Tournaments.
