Team Managers & Coaches

Baseball coaches act as leaders. They motivate players to succeed by being fair, positive, patient, sincere, concerned and honest. Baseball success requires teamwork. While one basketball player might take 40 percent of his team's shots, baseball teams count on all nine batters in a lineup. On defense, a single out might require the contributions of three or four players. Therefore, coaches look for ways to build camaraderie among players and reward players with increased playing time. Coaches also show patience in players and find ways to maximize their self-confidence.
